FiberLocator is spending the next few days at the International Telecoms Week conference in Chicago, and we are very excited to get to know some new international carriers. Hundreds of companies are attending this 3 day conference, which is sponsored by big names in telecom both here and abroad. We are also excited to introduce international users to our FiberLocator SaaS database, which features global fiber networks from hundreds of providers.
FiberLocator allows carriers to list their fiber assets for free within the database, or purchase an account if they would like to view other data. Currently, the data includes metro and long haul fiber routes, lit building records, data center locations, internet exchange addresses and more. It has proven to be an invaluable resource for developing a custom fiber network, planning data center sites, and locating on-net buildings. Because the system also features sub-sea cables, planning international fiber routes is as easy as pressing a button!
