Texas Fiber Connectivity Provider Publishes Network Updates & Makes Data Available to Public

NEWTON, Mass. (August 19, 2014) – FiberLocator, the leading fiber infrastructure and colocation data source, announced today that Alpheus Communications has added new fiber details and updated its network data to the FiberLocator database. The information available from Alpheus includes metro and long-haul fiber routes, on-net buildings, data centers and carrier information. Alpheus metro fiber routes are centralized in Texas and connect to long-haul networks that extend out into nearby states including Oklahoma, Arkansas, parts of Tennessee and others as the carrier works to expand networks even further.

Alpheus connectivity encompasses more than 300 central offices and carrier points-of-presence (PoPs), and they have also announced expansion plans into Houston and Dallas. This expansion will add over 3,000 near-net locations in the initial phase and continue to offer customers advantageous pricing, delivery and bandwidth. Their products range from DS-1 to OC-192 and combine metro and long-haul solutions. In addition, Alpheus operates data centers in Houston, Austin, Dallas and Fort Worth, which are SSAE-16 Type II Audit Certified.

More than ever, network planners needing fiber connectivity and bigger bandwidth are turning to alternate access providers like Alpheus to source mission critical telecom networks. FiberLocator is the search tool and data resource of choice for many IT network decision makers as it integrates multiple key telecom and colocation data sets in flexible formats.

“Alpheus is able connect with many new potential clients that are actively looking for fiber based services through FiberLocator,” said Steve McCarthy, COO FiberLocator’s parent company. “By providing their solution details, they allow users to learn more about their company which is extremely helpful to prospects that are not located in the Texas metro area and may not be familiar with Alpheus.”

Data in FiberLocator spans the U.S. and is updated weekly to add new and updated information directly from the carriers themselves. To find out more about adding carrier network and data centers in FiberLocator, visit us at www.FiberLocator.com or call (877) 239-3043.
