Indiana Fiber Network Brings New & Updated Data to FiberLocator

The Hoosier State Carrier Provider Publishes Statewide Footprint & Lit Buildings

NEWTON, Mass. (Nov. 14, 2014) FiberLocator, a leading fiber infrastructure and colocation data source, announced today the addition of new and updated data from Indiana Fiber Network, LLC (IFN). Along with highlighting its growing footprint, IFN has updated existing metro fiber route maps and on-net building information in FiberLocator’s quickly-growing database of high capacity networks, lit buildings, and data centers.

Indiana Fiber Network offers fiber-based bandwidth, colocation and IP services to carriers and enterprises in Indiana with network spanning 3,500 fiber miles and 4,000 lit buildings. As a member of INDATEL, their reach goes beyond the state’s borders and reaches more than 5,000 communities across the country. In addition to transport and IP services, IFN also operates a carrier neutral data center at 701 West Henry in Indianapolis.

According to IFN Vice President of Sales and Marketing August Zehner, FiberLocator is an invaluable telecommunication tool for developing a custom fiber network. “As an Indiana-based network service provider, IFN fiber assets can be researched quickly and efficiently by both enterprise and carrier customers with the FiberLocator database,” said Zehner.

Steve McCarthy, COO of FiberLocator parent company, heralded IFN’s additions and updates by saying, “Indiana Fiber Network is a great addition to our lineup of carriers because of the concentration of its infrastructure. Part of what makes FiberLocator data unique is showcasing regional facilities-based carriers like IFN. They benefit from the increased visibility to many new potential clients in need of their services, and at the same time, clients who are geographically located outside Indiana can research and source IFN’s network and learn more about IFN as a company with the help of FiberLocator.”

The data in FiberLocator covers the U.S. and is continually refreshed to add new carrier data with updates published every week. FiberLocator is currently accepting new provider maps, lit buildings, and data centers for inclusion in the database at no charge to carriers.
