FiberLocator Reaches Milestone, Exceeds 300 Layers
With the help of our awesome user base and the many providers we work with, FiberLocator is thrilled to announce we’ve surpassed 300 unique provider layers with sub-layers taking the count even higher! We aren’t stopping there though. The data team at FiberLocator is always looking to add fiber providers to our database – and we took a big leap forward during the month of April with the following carriers:
- Bay Ring Communications
- GWI
- Independents Fiber – Metro
- Independents Fiber – Under Construction
- Independents Fiber – Proposed
- Summit IG Long-Haul
- Windstream Long-Haul
With the new additions, FiberLocator’s database now has over 300 map layers to go along with nearly 300,000 unique carrier locations in lit buildings and over 3,000 total data center listings. We’re always updating and verifying provider maps so our users have access to the most accurate and comprehensive fiber database available.

For us, 300 layers is just the start. We’re constantly looking to expand our database to ensure it’ll be as useful as possible for our customers. If you know of a carrier or lit building that’s not represented in FiberLocator, please contact Karen Wiens. Once you let us know which maps and data sets would help you out the most, we’ll take care of the rest!
